Higher Trapp is great venue and we love it here especially as a wedding photography venue. A fabulous hotel set in gorgeous grounds with a backdrop trees and lovely countryside. Weddings here are guaranteed to have fun, style, and character. Taking photographs here is such a pleasure and gives us the opportunity to capture the love and emotion of your special day at the great venue.

Higher Trapp House is situated in the Ribble valley at Simonstone. Nestled in four acres of magnificent terraced gardens situated in the Pendle Valley, Higher Trapp enjoys an elevated position and panoramic views across the Lancashire countryside and offers charm, comfort and luxury. As a Lancashire wedding photographer, I have shot many weddings here and the staff are simply flawless and I guarantee a brilliant wedding day here.
At the Higher Trapp the hotel features ornate ceilings, dark panelling, enormous chandeliers and open fires surrounded by luxurious leather sofas offer a cosy place to curl up and relax. The conservatory provides a welcome retreat and offers stunning views of lovely lush gardens with herbaceous plants and manicured lawns. It leads out onto a private terrace, a great spot for candid wedding photos of your guests enjoying a drink in the sunshine. Alternatively they can take a walk around the gardens and down to the gazebo.
The bridal party usually can get ready in one of the many rooms, However the main bridal suite has a fabulous four poster bed, great for displaying the wedding dress with a huge mirror for the make-up and some portraits. The room has a huge bay window which offers great natural light for your wedding photos. You can get married outside if the weather is good or inside in the conservatory, or more traditionally in front of the fireplace. Family group photos are generally done on the lower garden, however there is a lovely area next to the conservatory for small groups.

Our Wedding Album
As well as the photography we offer a fabulous range of modern wedding albums. Our most popular is a 20cm x 20cm hardcover coffee table album. With two cover options, either image wrap or canvas with UV printed title (various colours available to suit your style). It comes in a lovely presentation box and you can choose up to 60 of your favourite images from your online gallery.
Our Digital Lay-flat Album
This is also a popular wedding album. It is available in a range of sizes 25 x 35 landscape, A4 landscape, square in 25 x 25 or 30 x 30 cm.. There are over twenty colour options available, it can also be embossed with your names and date, in a gold, silver or rose gold finish. The beautiful pages are printed to lie flat which allows for the photo to cover seamlessly across two pages.
Our Classic photo Album
The classic album is a beautiful mid priced album. Whilst the name relates to classic, it uses modern expert printing technology and is a great upgrade from a small album. It again comes in a presentation box and allows you to choose up to 60 of your favourite images from an online gallery. Smaller duplicates can also be purchased at very reasonable prices.
